Collegavriend B moest onverwacht naar Tunesië voor werk, en nam op de terugweg snoepjes voor me mee (maak aantekeningen, mannelijk Nederland. Zo doe je dat ;-)).
Mooi he. Te mooi om op te eten. Ze zijn gemaakt van amandelen, suiker, pistachenoten, rozenwater en een kruid dat ik niet helemaal thuis kan brengen.
Ze staan op mijn tafel, een heel bord vol met een verzameling pastelgetinte, suikerige kunstwerkjes. Om blij van te worden :-)
Friend B unexpectedly had to travel to Tunisia for work, and on his way back he bought me candy (take notes, men of the world. That is how you do that).
Aren't they pretty. Too pretty to eat. They're made of almonds, sugar, pistachios, rose water and some spice I don't quite recognize.
They're sitting on my coffee table, a big plate full of pastel colored, sugary works of art. The sight of them just makes me happy :-)

Are they donut-sized? And the spice - cardamom?
That might be it Nat - cardamom. It's somethign you taste regularly when in Africa, but that is unlike anything we use here in Holland.
And no, they's just above bite-sized. About the size of plums or apricots.
