Dinosaurus

Ik sta in de badkamer voor de spiegel, druk met mijn dagelijkse licht obsessieve anti-rimpel check, als R binnenkomt.

'Mam? hoe zagen dinosaurussen eruit?'

'Nou, er waren een heleboel verschillende soorten, net als in je dinoboek'.

'Ik bedoel niet in een boek, ik bedoel, hoe zagen ze er écht uit? In het echt?'

'Dat weten we niet schatje. Dat is al miljoenen jaren geleden'.

'Dus toen jíj klein was waren ze er toch nog wel?'

'mommy?'

'Yes babe'.

'What did dinosaurs look like?'

'Well, there were lots of different ones, like in your dino-book'.

'I don't mean in a book. I mean, what did they really look like? In real life?'

'Well, we don't actually know that. It was millions of years ago'.

'So they have to have been around when you were little. Right?'
