Ja sorry hoor, maar deze taart verdient een ere-vermelding :-)
Ik had een taart besteld bij Petra. Of ze iets kon met een piratenschip, vroeg ik. Ja hoor, zei ze. Was een luchtige chocolade bavarois vulling goed, vroeg zij. Ja hoor, zei ik, doe maar wat, ik kom hem dinsdag wel halen.
En dat deed ik.
En daar was ie.

Sorry - this cake just deserves a post all on its own.
I ordered this cake from someone who has a home cake making business, here in our little town. Could she do something with a pirate ship, I asked her. Sure, she said. Would I like a chocolate bavarois filling, she asked me. Sure, I said, whatever you think would be good. I'll just come pick it up on tuesday.
And so I did.
And there it was.
Now isn't this thing just brilliant?

Wat een taart zeg,eigenlijk te mooi om op te eten. Jammer dat ze in Monnickendam zit, net te ver weg van Aalsmeer.

(F, I have to ask - Marjolein wrote a word in her comment before mine "schitterend" and all I could think when I saw that beautiful cake, and then saw her comment was "HOLY SHIT!" Is that what that translates to? If so, I am SO going to be using that word ..... but you'll have to teach me how to say it!! ;)

Ik heb even de fotogallery op de site van Petra bekeken, ongelooflijk wat ze allemaal voor taarten maakt, wist niet eens dat het mogelijk was. Helaas is MOnnickendam niet om de hoek, anders had ik het wel geweten voor mijn kleine grote man die over een maandje VIJF wordt :)
I have never seen such attention paid to detail... except on wedding cakes! I hope it was as yummy as it looks!
