What the ....?

De schoolfotograaf kwam, bij de jongens op school. Dat zijn nooit echt spectatulaire foto's - ik vraag me altijd af waarom toch die blauwe wolkjes achtergrond, bijvoorbeeld. Mijn hemel, vleugeltjes op hun rug en ze zien eruit als een Philadelphia reclame. Ik bedoel, je haalt twee balen hooi en een pompoen, zet ze onder een boomop het schoolplein, kindje erbij, en voila, leuke foto's met natuurlijk licht, zou je denken...maar goed, smaken verschillen.
Vandaag kregen ze de foto's mee naar huis. Die van Frank was ok. Niet geweldigongelofelijkfantastisch, maar wel... ok. Die van Robin, eh, niet.

Ik bedoel, dit is mijn R-man, met zijn Rare Grijns die hij tegenwoordig tevoorschijn tovert als je hem vraagt te lachen. Mijn kereltje, met de grootste, meest sprekende blauwe ogen van de wereld.

Het jongetje dat langs de camera kijkt op de schoolfoto's (foto-van-een-foto, klik voor een grotere), is volgens mij genetisch niet aan mij verwant. :-\

Zonder dollen - je moet echt heel erg je BEST doen om van zo'n mooi kind zo'n vreselijke foto te nemen. Een beetje fotograaf schaamt zich dood. Maar nee hoor; warming filtertje erover in photoshop (zo bruin is R, het kind met de kleur van Casper het Vriendelijke Spookje, in zijn hele leven nog nooit geweest), en voila. 8,50.


Jeetje zeg. Ik had schoolfotograaf moeten worden.


The photographer came at the boys school. Now, school pictures are never really spectacular - I always wonder what the deal is with the blue background, for starters. I mean, you pick up some hay and a pumpkin or two, put the whole lot under a tree, add a chair from a random classroom, make the kid sit on the chair and voila, things would look a lot more interesting immediately. But hey. Varying tastes, and all that stuff. I get that. No, really, I do :p.

So today, they came home with their pictures. Frank's picture was.... ok. Not fantasticamazingincredible - just 'ok'.
Rob's was, eh, not.

The little boy that looks away from the camera in the school picture, I don't think is even genetically related to me. :-\

Now seriously. You have to try REALLY REALLY HARD to take a pic this bad of a child this beautiful. Unfreakinbelievable. Any photographer should have been ashamed of themselves. But nooooo - you just toss a warming filter over it in photoshop (dude, the child with the complexion of Caspar the friendly ghost now looks like a tanning bed commercial), and voila, you charge 8.50.

I should have been a school photographer, for cripes sake.
